Community Center Bundles Guide: All Rooms and Rewards

Every Community Center bundle in Stardew Valley, what items you need, and the best order to complete the rooms for the biggest rewards.

The Community Center is the heart of Stardew Valley’s main quest. Fill its bundles with items, and you unlock game-changing rewards — including the Greenhouse and access to the Calico Desert. This guide maps every room and tells you what to prioritize.

How the Community Center works

After the first few days, the Wizard asks you to investigate the old Community Center. Once you read the golden scroll, you can start depositing items into bundles — groups of specific items grouped by theme. Complete every bundle in a room to earn that room’s reward.

You only need to provide most of the items in each bundle, not all of them. Read each bundle’s requirements carefully.

The six rooms and their rewards

Room Main reward Why it matters
Pantry Greenhouse Grow any crop year-round — huge for money
Boiler Room Minecarts repaired Fast travel around the map
Vault Bus repair Unlocks the Calico Desert (Starfruit, Skull Cavern)
Crafts Room Quarry access Free ore and gems
Fish Tank Panning Pan for ore in rivers
Bulletin Board Friendship boost Instant hearts with all villagers

What goes in each bundle

Pantry (the most important)

The Pantry unlocks the Greenhouse, which lets you grow any crop in any season. Bundles include:

  • Spring Crops: Parsnip Parsnip, Green Bean Green Bean, Cauliflower Cauliflower, Potato Potato.
  • Summer Crops: Tomato Tomato, Blueberry Blueberry, Melon Melon, Hot Pepper Hot Pepper.
  • Fall Crops: Corn Corn, Eggplant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pumpkin, Yam Yam.
  • Quality Crops: Gold-star versions of select crops.
  • Animal and Artisan: eggs, milk, and artisan goods.

Boiler Room (do this early)

Repairs the Minecarts for fast travel. You’ll need minerals and monster loot like Quartz Quartz, Frozen Tear Frozen Tear, Earth Crystal Earth Crystal, Fire Quartz Fire Quartz, plus Bat Wing Bat Wings and Slime Slime.

Vault (pure gold)

No items — just gold. Four bundles totaling 42,500g to repair the bus and unlock the Desert. This is where Starfruit, Coconuts, and the Skull Cavern live.

Crafts Room (easy and useful)

Unlocks the Quarry. Bundles need foraged items from each season and materials like Wood Wood, Stone Stone, and Hardwood Hardwood.

Fish Tank

Unlocks panning. You’ll need fish from rivers, lakes, and the ocean, plus a few rare catches like Pufferfish Pufferfish and Ghostfish Ghostfish.

Bulletin Board

Gives a friendship boost with every villager. Bundles include cooking ingredients, flowers, and specific gems like Diamond Diamond and Ruby Ruby.

The best order to complete the rooms

  1. Pantry first — the Greenhouse is the single best reward for making money.
  2. Boiler Room second — minecarts save you time every single day.
  3. Vault third — the Desert unlocks Starfruit and end-game content.
  4. Crafts Room fourth — the Quarry is a nice passive bonus.
  5. Finish Fish Tank and Bulletin Board as you go.

Tips to complete bundles faster

  • Plant a little of everything. Bundles need variety, not volume.
  • Check the Traveling Cart (Friday and Sunday) — it sells bundle items you’re missing.
  • Save one of each mineral and gem until the bundles are done.
  • Don’t sell foraged items until you’ve checked the seasonal foraging bundles.
  • Buy a Silo and animals early for the Animal and Artisan bundles.

The bottom line

The Community Center is your roadmap through the game. Rush the Pantry for the Greenhouse, then the Boiler Room for minecarts and the Vault for the bus. Complete the rest as you naturally gather items, and you’ll unlock nearly everything Stardew Valley has to offer.
